For 15 years, nobis, a Canadian brand considered as the Rolls Royce of parkas, has been offering highly technical outdoor clothing that can be adapted to all situations. For extreme conditions, synthetic materials and natural fibres still cannot compete with the performance of premium quality down that can be kept for decades. nobis has therefore defined a manufacturing process and specifications that are ultra controlled and certified in order to select the best materials without compromising the mistreatment of animals.
The nobis story began fifteen years ago (in 2007). Robin Yates, then Vice President of Canada Goose, was fed up with offering average quality outerwear with a premium message that didn't follow. He embarked on an entrepreneurial adventure and launched nobis (Latin for 'we'), a brand of parkas designed to be the most technical on the market with the credo 'beyond the expectations'.
To achieve this, Robin does not skimp on any materials. Whether synthetic (like Sympatex membrane: recyclable and water resistant) or natural with white duck down from the food industry. From October 1, 2022 to January 15, 2023, the Canadian outerwear brand nobis will open for the first time an exclusive ephemeral boutique in downtown Geneva. The temporary retail space will be placed on 42 square metres within the Eastside shop and will invite customers to explore, try on and purchase the new FW22/23 collection, during the colder months.
"The collection is inspired by a design that is reminiscent of outdoor living," said Michael Kerr, Senior Design Director at nobis. "The emphasis is on freedom of movement, breathability and the freedom to go outside without worrying about the weather. Each layer is carefully designed to ensure that the focus is not on the individual garment, but on the needs and expectations of the consumer."
This functional and forward-thinking collection, is designed for minimalist personal style and comfort amidst the ever-changing demands associated with global seasonality. The brand's continued evolution highlights its iconic silhouettes alongside the development of a new, more minimalist and refreshing style, emphasising more linear silhouettes.
